Ottawa Race Weekend

What an atmosphere today in Ottawa. Seeing runners young and old taking part in something that brings together community and inspires people to push their limits. People run for many reasons, no matter what the reason, it's something that allows people to prove to themselves what they can achieve. You don't just decide to run a marathon one day and expect to be able to do it. The time and training it takes to prepare your body takes real dedication. When the finishers cross that finish line, it's as if all their hard work was for that moment - and for that moment it feels like they've achieved everything they worked for, and that is true happiness. Savoring the journey and the finish. One day I'd like to give the race weekend a shot myself.

Forever Learning

Mortimer Adler , one of the cornerstones of modern literature and a driving force behind "Encylopedia Britannica" believes that one should never stop learning. That even in old age we can still be taught new things. He teaches valuable lessons on how to think and learn, and his insights are as valuable now as they were in the past. I have great respect for this man, and look forward to reading more of his work in the future. I will also often refer to his teachings in later blog posts.

Curating known theories and established science, I will try to put my own personal interpretation on what is - and try to paint a better picture of the canvas that is life.
